Assembly Made (the previous owner of assembly.com) launched in 2013 with the vision to bring engineers, designers, and creators all over the world together to build community-owned software products.
Products hosted by Assembly Made were shut down when Assembly ceased operations in 2015. Some of the communities actively working on products transitioned their products off Assembly Made's infrastructure.
You can find those open sourced Assembly Made products on GitHub.
The new Assembly launched in 2014 with a similar vision -- this time using hardware products to help build a better global community.
