Payment links let you accept payments from anyone, even if they don’t yet have a client account in your portal.
Unlike traditional invoices and subscriptions, payment links are global—they’re not tied to a specific client and can be shared anywhere: on your website, in emails, or via direct messages.
When someone clicks a payment link, they’re taken to a checkout page for a specific product. If they aren’t already a client, they’ll be asked to enter their email. After payment, they’re automatically guided through a simple sign-up flow and added to your CRM as a new client.
This means the client journey can now start with a payment—unlocking new ways to onboard clients, sell services, and streamline the checkout experience.
To create a new payment link:
Navigate to the Billing app.
Open the Payment links tab.
Click the + New Payment link button.
Choose or create a product for this link.
Configure any additional settings (e.g., description, payment preferences).
Click Create to generate the link.
You can now copy and share the link anywhere. It’s not tied to a specific client and can be used by anyone.
If the person is not logged in or doesn’t have a client account in your workspace, they’ll be prompted to enter their email.
If the email is new, they’ll complete a quick self-serve sign-up after entering payment details on the checkout page.
Once the signup is complete, they’ll be taken directly to your portal and added to your CRM.
You can customize this flow using automations—like prompting clients to complete an intake form or schedule a call immediately after they pay.
Payment links are perfect for marketing websites with pricing tiers. For example:
Add buttons for each pricing tier on your website.
Link each button to a corresponding payment link.
When someone clicks and completes the purchase, they’re automatically signed up and taken to your portal.
This creates a seamless experience—no need to use third-party tools like Stripe Payment links. Plus, your clients land in a fully branded portal with welcome messages, intake forms, and more.
